Michael Böning - Berlin

Michael Böning has been a member of Kliemt & Vollstädt's employment law team at their Berlin office since March 2009. Before this, he spent several years at the Institute of Employment Law of the Georg-August-Universität in Göttingen. During his time there he contributed to a large number of the Institute's publications, including the Staudinger commentary on the German Civil Code, Otto's treatise on industrial disputes and conciliation law and the Henssler/Willemsen/Kalb employment law commentary. During his traineeship, Mr. Böning spent stages with a Lower Saxony law firm specialising in employment law and with NiedersachsenMetall. Most recently, he was also employed at the Institute of Employment Law of Göttingen University under Prof. Dr. Rüdiger Krause, with an emphasis on collective labour law.

Michael Böning advises and represents clients in court and out of court in individual and collective employment law matters. His main practice areas comprise consultancy on actions on dismissal disputes and court-order proceedings, advising enterprises on day-to-day employment law issues and drafting contracts of employment and specific types of termination agreements. Mr. Böning has particular expertise in questions of law relating to works constitutions and industrial disputes.
