Dr. Dathe moved to Kliemt & Vollstädt's Berlin office in January 2010 after several years in the employment law practice
group at the international law firm K&L Gates. Before his admission as an attorney, he was an academic researcher in the
department of civil law, employment law and procedural law at Technische Universität Berlin, under Prof. Dr. Axel Hunscha.
His doctoral thesis, written at Freie Universität Berlin, was on the topic of redundancy requirements. Since 2006, Dr. Dathe
has been a part-time lecturer at Technische Universität Berlin, holding tutorials on employment law.

Dr. Dathe advises employers and executive staff at both national and international companies on all questions of individual
and collective employment law. He represents his clients both in court proceedings and out of court. His main practices areas
are reorganisations, transfers of businesses and outsourcing, and day-to-day employment-law advice for enterprises.
In addition, he specialises in the details of termination by notice and other possibilities of termination of employment
relationships.
