Stefan Fischer has been practising at Kliemt & Vollstädt's Berlin office since March 2008. Previously, he was a partner
with Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek from 2004, where he was a member of the firm's Employment Law Practice Group. Before moving
to Heuking Kühn, Mr. Fischer practised in Gaedertz's Berlin office, from which Wilmer Cutler & Pickering - Quack
(now WilmerHale) developed. From 1995 to 1997 he was an in-house lawyer at the retail trade employers' association
Einzelhandelsverband Nordost e.V. in Kiel.
Mr. Fischer advises employers and executive staff both nationally and internationally on all questions of individual and
collective employment law. His work includes consultancy and representation in court at all levels up to the Federal Labour
Court (Bundesarbeitsgericht). His practice areas are works constitution and collective bargaining law, especially
reconstructions and social plan matters, negotiations with Works councils on works agreements (e.g. on harmonization of
working conditions or data protection related matters), transfers of establishments and privatisations. In addition, he
advises enterprises on all employment-law questions relating to mergers and acquisitions. He also has particular experience
in the field of the employment contracts of board members and directors. Mr. Fischer is the chair of our Practice Group on
Global Mobility and Immigration and a member of the International Practice Group Global Mobility and Immigration. He is
also a regular speaker on employment-law topics and the author of a number of employment-law publications.
